Another Nigerian Pilgrim Slumps, Dies While Boarding Return Flight In Saudi Arabia

A Katsina pilgrim from Kusada local government identified as Abdullahi Adamu Damuna has died while boarding a return flight at the Jeddah International Airport on Monday.


According to Daily Trust, Damuna, aged 40 slumped at customs point during his final screening point on his way to be airborne.

Damuna, was rushed to hospital were he was confirmed dead.

Eye witness on the state’s third flight in which the deceased belonged said there was confusion at the spot as pilgrims and officials rushed to provide support.

Officials of the state pilgrim welfare board are yet to issue an official statement but confirmed the incident on anonymity.
