Thirteen Israeli hostages and four foreign nationals have been released from captivity in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military has said.
It said in a statement: “According to the information that the IDF received, 17 hostages were released, including 13 Israeli hostages and four Thai hostages.
“The released hostages’ convoy is currently making its way through Egypt to the meeting point at Kerem Shalom.
“Security representatives will verify the list at the meeting point with the released hostages.
“The families of the hostages are being updated by IDF representatives with the latest available information.”
Earlier, Qatar’s foreign ministry said eight Israeli children and five women were being released tonight.

More details are emerging on the Israeli hostages freed today.
Among them are 13 Israeli hostages and four Thai nationals.
The names of some hostages are starting to be released by the Hostages and Missing Persons Families Forum.

- Hila Rotem Shoshani, 13, kidnapped from Be’eri
- Maya Regev, 21, kidnapped from Herzliya
- Noam Or, 17, one of a pair of siblings kidnapped from Be’eri
- Alma Or, 13, the other sibling taken from Be’eri
- Noga Weiss, 53, taken from Be’eri
- Shiri Weiss, 18, also kidnapped from Be’eri
- Sharon Avigdori, 52, is a drama therapist who works with people on the autism spectrum. She was taken from Kfar Saba
- Noam Avigdori, 12, daughter of Sharon. She was about to celebrate her Bat Mitzvah when she was taken from Kfar Saba
- Shoshan Haran, 67, founder of a non-profit organisation, taken from Be’eri
