Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia to be buried on Friday beside his mother’s grave

 The corpse of the former Governor of the defunct Midwest Region and later Bendel State, Dr. Samuel Osaigbovo Ogbemudia will be buried next week Friday exactly a week after he transited to the great beyond.

Our investigations also revealed that the late Brigadier-General, who was a Minister in the Military administration of Late General Sanni Abacha died from complications associated with diabetes, an ailment which he battled for many years.

It was also discovered that Dr. Ogbemudia told members of his family before he died that he should be buried not later than seven days after his demise.  He was said to have also told his family that his corpse should not be placed in the morgue or publicly displayed.

It was further learnt that Dr.  Ogbemudia will be buried in his family compound at Iheya street in Benin City.

According to his eldest son, Samuel Ogbemudia (Junior), the former governor prepared his grave years ago, besides that of his late mother within the family compound.

Asked if his late father gave any reason for the act, he simply responded saying, “anybody can do that.”
