A woman, Benson Rosemary, has been arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly robbing one Dr. Adekunle Ayodeji Desalu of his£16,750 (N8.5million) in the Ajah area of Lagos State.
The 26-year-old suspect was said to have robbed the medical doctor at his house at No 2, Taiwo Ishola Street, Lekki Phase 1 at about 2:20pm on February 18.
Insp. B. Emuerhii, the prosecutor said the offence contravened and punishable under Sections 411 and 287(7) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.
However, the accused pleaded not guilty to a two-count charge of stealing.
The magistrate, O. Sule Amzat, granted Rosemary a bail of N2 million with two sureties in like sum. The case was adjourned till April, 28, 2018 for mention.
