Rumours suggest Arsenal are getting their act together in the transfer market following their FA Cup defeat to Nottingham Forest.

The Gunners are said to be accelerating their interest in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum and are ready to go all out to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina after the forward’s record equalling year.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are reportedly ready to listen to offers for England international Dele Alli, who’s scored just once in the Premier League since the start of last season.

Aston Villa are pushing to take Lucas Digne to the West Midlands following his fall out with Rafa Benitez, with Steven Gerrard sanctioning a potential £25million move – but Everton are holding out for more.

Wijnaldum makes feelings clear as Arsenal ‘accelerate’ move

Georginio Wijnaldum is reportedly open to a return to the Premier League as Arsenal ‘accelerate’ their interest in the Paris Saint-Germain star.

The 31-year-old joined the French side in the summer as a free agent from Liverpool, but he has found himself on the fringes of Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

And Wijnaldum is keen on coming back to England to find regular playing time with Arsenal and Newcastle among the teams interested, according to Sky Sports.

Vlahovic ‘rejects’ Arsenal move

Dusan Vlahovic has reportedly knocked back an approach from Arsenal as he plans to weigh up his options in the summer.

The Fiorentina striker is a man in demand with the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and the Gunners all linked with the 21-year-old.

Mikel Arteta’s men would rather not wait until the end of the season, however, as they are in desperate need of a new striker.

But the Serbian has reportedly turned down the Gunners as he would rather see who comes calling in the summer window.

Aston Villa jump to head of Digne queue

Aston Villa have jumped to the head of the queue to capture wantaway Everton defender Lucas Digne

But so far, no formal offer has been made by the Midlands club, despite some talks between the two clubs.

Villa boss Steven Gerrard is an admirer of the France international, and Digne is desperate to leave Goodison after a major fall out with his Blues manager Rafa Benitez.

There are reports of an agreement in principle over wages with the left-back, but Everton have not yet agreed any terms for Digne, who they value at £20m

Hearts sign Atkinson

Hearts have signed Melbourne City defender Nathaniel Atkinson.

The 22-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half year deal with the Scottish Premiership side.

Coutinho completes Villa medical

Aston Villa have confirmed Philippe Coutinho has completed his medical ahead of his loan move from Barcelona.

The 29-year-old is currently obtaining his work permit in France and will be hoping to link-up with his new team-mates as soon as possible.

“Philippe is currently in the process of finalising his immigration papers and we are looking forward to getting him on the training pitch with the group on Wednesday at Bodymoor,” said Villa boss Steven Gerrard.

“He is an outstanding footballer who boasts a highly impressive CV laced with plenty of elite honours. I am really pleased that we have been able to bring him on board and I am looking forward to working with him.”
