The bonus being offered to Liverpool players for winning the Champions League is just 10 per cent the size of that which Real Madrid stars could net, according to reports.
Liverpool players are set to take home £200,000-per-man if they come out on top in European football’s showpiece event in Kiev later this month.
But Real’s stars will cash in far more significantly – with a mammoth £2million-per-player reportedly on offer for winning.
Victory would be Real’s third consecutive Champions League win, a remarkable achievement given that they only became the first team to win it back-to-back in the current format last season.
The cash incentive will certainly will them on, despite already being the best-paid squad in Europe
Some players on both sides could even take home more than the standard bonus, if competition-winning add-ons were part of their contracts.
The Daily Mail report that the team that goes on to win the Champions League will earn around £70million in prize money.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s squad have just received an additional treat for winning last year’s Champions League.

Every player was promised a Rolex Submariner’s Date watch if they defeated Juventus in Cardiff to complete the Duodecima – their 12th European title.

Real purchased 30 of the watches, setting them back a whopping £637,000.
It is thought that Real will offer their players another gift on top of their prize money if they come on victorious again this time around.
