Tragedy was averted in Rivers state on Monday after a school bus conveying pupils home at Saint John by ogbogoro road in Port Harcourt, went up in flames.
Thankfully, passersby were quick to help evacuate the kids before the fire intensified.
Facebook user, Gabriela Okwara shared the story on her wall “School bus conveying school children back home, caught fire at St John’s a few minutes ago… Pupils were successfully rescued and currently with parents with no casualties.
“Please pray daily for Rivers State and Nigeria. The tragedies are becoming too much. The fire service should be revived and paid strict attention to, to curb incidences like this…. Also government should please check the school buses being used to convey students in various schools. Most of them are unfit for use.”
