The club’s Qatari owners reportedly feel ‘cheated’ by the forward’s poor performances on the pitch and have grown tired with his glamorous lifestyle off it.
The feeling in Qatar is that Neymar ‘prefers Paris over PSG’ and the level of fury from the club’s shareholders is peaking, according to L’Equipe, via Marca.

The French publication reported: ‘The French club’s shareholders feel they have been cheated out of their money.’
PSG forked out £200million to bring the former Barcelona star to the Parc des Princes in 2017.
Over five seasons in Paris, the club have also had to pay out more than €500million (£417,00,000) in expenditure costs related to Neymar’s salary.

However, with the World Cup held in Qatar in November, PSG, with links to Qatar National Bank and Qatar Airways, have been keen to keep Neymar at the club as a main attraction for the tournament.
And it seems PSG will have to keep paying for him for another season as it is reportedly impossible for him to leave this summer.
L’Equipe claim that only a club such as Newcastle have the wealth to push through a transfer but it is ‘unlikely that the working-class city in the north of England is the place the Brazilian dreams of for the end of his European career’.

Neymar is not enjoying the most prolific season for PSG – netting just seven times in Ligue 1 amid a season plagued by injuries – and has faced his fair share of criticism from both the media and his own fans.
Supporters were left unimpressed after the Ligue 1 side crashed out of the Champions League to Real Madrid in the last 16.
Days after the defeat, Neymar, along with seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi, was booed during PSG’s 3-0 win over Bordeaux, even getting jeers after making it 2-0.

Recently, a French journalist from RMC Sport made claims about Neymar’s poor efforts on the training ground.
Daniel Riolo had alleged that the 30-year-old ‘hardly trains anymore’, adding: ‘He arrives in a sorry state, almost drunk. That’s the way it is, Neymar is in a spirit of revenge against PSG.’
Neymar responded by taking a cheeky swipe at the French media after scoring a brace against Lorient on Sunday – joking he was ‘drunk’ while he netted his double in the 5-1 win following allegations about his ‘lamentable state’ in training.
