A man has been rescued and he is currently being resuscitated by paramedics from the Lagos state Emergency Management Agency.

According to reports, the man, identified as Nurudeen, dropped his I.D card, left his phone unlocked and called his wife before jumping off the 3rd Mainland Bridge, this morning, in Lagos.

Meanwhile, last two weeks, officials of the LASEMA Response Unit (LRU) rescued a middle-aged woman suspected to be mentally deranged from jumping into the lagoon on the popular Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos.

This is as the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) has begun move to check the frequent incidences of suicide and boat mishaps in the state, with the upgrading of infrastructure-jetties to be fit for low and high tides
