The Anambra State Police Command on Thursday, paraded three suspected cultists over the abduction and rape of two young girls.

 

 

Briefing newsmen, spokesperson of the command, SP Haruna Mohammed said that on Wednesday, Surveillance Patrol team attached to Awada Division arrested  Andrew Ejike, 20, Chidiebere Edwin, 19 and Chisom Christian, 17.

 

 

“All the suspects, who have confessed to their membership of a cult group known as the “SAITARIS” abducted two young girls aged 15 and 17years and forced them to undergo some initiation rituals and allegedly gang raped the two young girls before letting them go.” said Mohammed.

 

 

The case is under investigation after which suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution.
