Neymar‘s new documentary is streaming now on Netflix and in it you can see the Paris Saint-Germain star involved in a heated exchange with his father, who looks after his marketing.
In an episode of the new show ‘Neymar: The Perfect Chaos‘, we see the Brazil international and his father clash over the player’s rape accusation, with Neymar Senior urging his son to be more careful and accept his help.
“I want you to understand you can’t take any more risks. What I want to tell you is that if something happens to you, my main worry is that all our effort to build your image gets lost,” said Neymar Senior.
“I can’t always be by your side. I used to be and you liked it; now you don’t want me to be. But someone needs to protect you.
“They’ve accused my son of rape. I might be annoying, but I protect you.”
The 29-year-old replied angrily, shouting back and taking issue with the way his father talks, not only to him, but others.
“Sure, but I don’t like the way you talk to people. I’m not talking about what just happened, I mean in general,” said Neymar Junior.
“You’re too aggressive sometimes. I know it happens to everyone… that’s the problem, but it’s fine.
“I just want to say that I wouldn’t talk like that. If I make a mistake, I want a healthy debate. I’m trying to have fun but I can’t. That’s my battle with myself. You say I do a lot of things, that’s why.”
The new documentary gives a behind the scenes look into Neymar‘s full career to date, including his move from Santos to Barcelona and then from Barcelona to PSG.
As well as the player himself and his father, it also includes interviews with former and current teammates and other football figures, such as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and David Beckham.
