MAN City ace Jack Grealish partied with a team-mate who is alleged to have raped a girl just hours later.
Mendy, 27, has been charged with a string of sex attacks and is remanded in custody ahead of trial early next year.
Among the allegations is that he raped a girl aged 17 at his home in the early hours of August 23.
Hours before, he was seen at Chinawhite in Manchester with Grealish, 26, and Mahrez, 30.
It means police could contact England star Grealish and Mahrez as potential witnesses.
There is no suggestion they had any involvement in the alleged assault or were present at Mendy’s home in Prestbury, Cheshire.
A source said: “They started socialising at one place and carried on to a couple of different venues during the night.
“But Grealish and Mahrez did not go back to Mendy’s house on the night.
“Unfortunately what started out as a fun night out at the club has ended with some very serious allegations
“Everyone at Manchester City was shocked when Mendy was arrested and charged.”
World Cup winner Mendy faces four counts of rape and one of sexual assault against three alleged victims from October 2020 to August 2021.
He was remanded in custody at Chester crown court on September 10, and faces spending Christmas in prison.
Four days earlier, his friend Louis Saha Matturie, 40, of Eccles, Gtr Manchester, appeared before magistrates at Chester.
Their cases are joined together. The pair will appear in court on November 15, before facing trial on January 24.
Grealish joined Prem champs City from Aston Villa in August for a British record transfer fee of £100million.
A spokesman for Mahrez said: “Riyad is not a witness and isn’t being treated as one.”
