The picture is getting clearer as to who will be the next president of Nigeria from May 29, 2023, with Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerging as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded primaries. Atiku Abubakar had about two weeks ago clinched the presidential ticket of the main opposition party – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The contest for the presidency is expected to be a direct contest between the ruling APC and the PDP.
