The Federal Government has announced October 12 for full reopening of 104 Unity Schools across the country.

The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, made the announcement at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, October 2.

He said State Governments and private school owners are at liberty to reopen based on guidelines developed for the safe reopening of schools. The Minister appealed to colleges to abide by the COVID-19 protocol guidelines developed to curtail the spread of the virus.

The Minister threatened to shut down schools, whether government or privately owned, found guilty of flouting any of the COVID-19 protocols.

Schools across the country were closed in March 2020 as part of efforts to curtail the spread of Coronavirus in the country.
