The chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu has said that former Director General of the Department of State Security (DSS), Mr. Ita Ekpenyong and the sacked Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ayo Oke must be made to face the law.
This is following reports of a clash between EFCC personnel and officials of the NIA and DSS.
The clash occurred when EFCC officials, in company of police officers, tried to arrest Oke and Ekpeyong at their homes in Abuja.
Speaking on the incident, Magu said that he will ensure that the two former government officials are arrested and prosecuted.
He also said that the anti-graft agency has enough evidence to prosecute the duo.
The EFCC boss said this while speaking with newsmen at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Magu was at the Villa to attend the inauguration of the Audit Committee on the Recovery and Management of Stolen Assets within and outside Nigeria.
