Sequel to the withdrawal of the Justice Jummai Sankey led panel of Judges on Tuesday, the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, has set up a new panel to hear the appeals emanating from the disputes over the governorship flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the November 26 Ondo State governorship election.
The new three-man panel is led by Justice Ibrahim Salauwa of the Calabar Division of the Appeal Court.
It would be recalled that the Justice Jummai Sankey-led panel withdrew from presiding over the cases following a petition filed by a respondent in some of the cases, Mr. Biyi Poroye, the Chairman of the Ali Modu Sheriff-led faction of the PDP in Ondo State, accusing the panel members and Justice Bulkachuwa of having been bribed.
Meanwhile, the Appeal Court has invited Mr. Biyi Poroye and Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim to come and substantiate the allegation that the Judges were bribed
