BREAKING NEWS: INEC may shift tomorrow’s elections, meeting ongoing with stakeholders

The Presidential and National Assembly Elections scheduled for Saturday, February 16, 2019 may not hold.

Investigations by ionigeria.com revealed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is hinging the eventual postponement on logistical challenges.

According to our sources within the Commission, some of the critical materials for the election are not in the country yet. It was also claimed that some materials for elections in Bauchi State were taken to Oyo State.

Our sources  also informed ionigeria.com that there are pressures from the government to shift the election.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Commission, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, is currently meeting with different groups, including international and local observers on the alleged challenges the Commission is having.
