The Ikorodu community of Lagos state has announced that it will conduct ritual rites on Friday, 30th of June, 2017 following the continuous attack on residents of the area by suspected ritual cult group, Badoo.

The announcement which was made available to ionigeria.com, warned residents to stay out of the streets from 10pm is aimed at using supernatural means to compliment the effort of security agencies in a bid to end the spate of gruesome murders perpetrated by the cult group in the community.

Recall that there was a protest on Wednesday by hundreds of residents of the community who stormed the palace of the Ayangbure of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Shotobi, to express their anger over the incessant killings in the community and demanded explanation to why the culprits have not yet been apprehended.

They demanded that the monarch and government should do something about the menace and bring it to an end while insisting that they are no longer safe in the community.

Responding to the protesters, a spokesperson for the palace who didn’t give his name promised that the monarch will do something everything within his powers to end the killings.

In his words “The monarch had initiated actions to complement the efforts of security agencies in bringing the attack to an end.

He said, “The protesters came and the kabiyesi had spoken to them accordingly. We have got in touch with all the relevant security agencies and vigilantes. All the traditionalists in Ikorodu have come together to do sacrifices and they will go on a day-time rally today (Wednesday) and a night rally on Thursday”.
