Nigerian born, Arsenal Football Club star, Alex Iwobi is surely having a swell time on and off the pitch. Iwobi and his model girlfriend Clarisse Juliette were on Wednesday night spotted at a Rae Sremmurd gig.
The band famed for kicking off the global phenomenon that is/was the Mannequin Challenge counted the Nigeria international and his model girlfriend as they played to a sold-out O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
Juliette, who is quickly becoming one of the more famous WAGs at Arsenal, posted a picture of the pair on her Instagram account showing Iwobi giving her googly eyes as their young love continues to flourish.
But his relationship is not the only thing flourishing at this moment in time as the 20-year-old has experienced a rapid rise since making his Premier League debut against Swansea in October 2015
He has become a mainstay in the Nigeria national squad, but, luckily for Arsenal, was not obliged to compete in the African Cup of Nations because the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the tournament they won four years ago.
Instead, he returned to the scene of his first Premier League appearance, the Liberty Stadium, where he put in the kind of performance Arsenal fans have come to expect.
The technically-gifted winger failed to score in the 4-0 victory but his impact on proceedings was sizable with two of his shots being turned into the net by Swansea players Jack Cork and Kyle Naughton.
This season, he has started 20 games for the Gunners — he has emerged from the bench a further six times — scoring three goals and providing a further three assists for his Arsenal team-mates.
Following his performance against Swansea, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger saw fit to praise the academy youth product, saying he has a ‘fantastic’ team attitude and is developing well.
‘He is more and more comfortable in the team,’ Wenger told the club’s official channel after the game.
‘But I think Alex Iwobi, above all his talent, is a guy who has a fantastic team attitude. He is gaining in confidence as well.
‘You could see overall that he develops very well. If he keeps that kind of spirit he has at the moment, he can go much higher up. That’s my wish.’
