The Chilean is set to complete his move to Old Trafford in the next 24 hours in a sensational swap deal.
Alexis Sanchez has arrived for his medical with Manchester United.
United made a dramatic late-night breakthrough in the transfer saga on Friday night, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan moving in the opposite direction
Sanchez confirmed he was heading for Manchester as he uploaded a clip boarding a private jet on Sunday afternoon.
He arrived at the club’s Carrington training ground a couple of hours later to undergo the medical.
The deals may not be officially completed until Monday as both Sanchez and Mkhitaryan are non-EU players and must have their work permits ratified by their new clubs.
After his side’s win at Burnley, Mourinho said: “If you ask me if I think he is coming, I think so, but I have no confirmation.
“Expect soon or never. So close, so close, so close, if it doesn’t happen it is not going to happen. I know my people doing absolutely everything they can. I think they will be successful.”
