A clash between Christian and Muslim youths at Kasuwan Magani area of Kaduna on Monday, left at least nine persons dead, with several houses razed.
Confirming the incident, the state police spokesman, Aliyu Mukhtar, said the situation had been brought under control and police was taking inventory of damages that occurred during the clash. .
Though there were conflicting reports on the immediate cause of the crisis, sources linked the incident to clash over girlfriends between Muslim and Christian youths in the community.
