UI to expel 328 first-year students for “shameful academic performance”

University of Ibadan (UI) has announed plans to expel 328 first-year students for what it described as “shameful academic performance” in the recently concluded 2016/2017 session. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Idowu Olayinka, in a statement yesterday, blamed the situation on the absence of post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (post-UTME) screening test before the affected students and their set were admitted.
