The Nigeria Police Force says it has arrested, Abba Kyari and four other police officers for their involvement in an alleged case of criminal conspiracy.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has disclosed how the suspended head of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Intelligence Response Team (IRT), DCP Abba Kyari, ran a drug syndicate.

Villagers have fled and abandoned their homes in Ihitte Afoukwu and Okpokunme communities in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo state when armed men in security attire invaded the communities and set ablaze houses.

Gunmen on Saturday evening killed another four cops at Amodo Obeagu in Enugu South Local Government Area.

Three workers were trapped as a three-storey building collapsed in the Yaba area of Lagos State on Saturday.  However, two other workers were rescued from the debris. Following its rejection of the earlier investigation report on the alleged involvement of suspended IRT Commander, DCP Abba Kyari in the $1.1million internet scam perpetrated by internet fraudster, Ramon Abass aka Hushpuppi, the Police Service Commission (PSC) has directed the Force headquarters to constitute another panel of inquiry to investigate the FBI indictment allegations against the Officer.

Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Ngozi Onadeko, who visited the scene of the robbery incident, where a van transporting money to a bank at Idi-Ape in Ibadan North East Local Government area of Oyo state, said two police officers were shot in the neck.

The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami, SAN, on Monday, said the Federal Government may consider a request to extradite the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, Abba Kyari, to the United States of America, USA, to face trial over his alleged involvement with an internet fraudster, Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, popularly known as Hussipuppi.
